They will let you use a GoPro on Manta and Kraken but they insist on the chest mount. A guy infront of me in the qurue had to take his off even though he had a proper wrist mount. They let me just hold it on Atlantis though.

Looks a good bit of kit from the reviews, however from the videos I have watched in 1080p/720p (60fps/ 3fps) side by side, the SJ4000 seems to lack an element of true color, but i guess it depends on what your eyes are used to seeing. (also digtal filters may help or custom config of contrast, hue, WB, sat etc etc)

Of course, the lenses, sensors etc are cheaper quality (you would hope) but they do seem to create watchable footage.

Im always going to favor a GoPro, but I think if your only going to use it on holiday, it "could" be an option... (also.. note in Florida on a sunny clear day you get perfect light too) which would help.

Would be good if any owners have any disney footage to view... (or night time footage)
We have this camera and it is awesome and a fraction of the price- take my advice - buy it (all the go pro attachments fit it too). There are some excellent reviews on the internet.

Thanks for this, we already have 2 batteries so I've bought 2 more plus another memory card and a wrist mount

Regarding the memory card - I only use the SanDisk Extreme class 10 cards as I have had issues with other class 10 cards. (GoPro @ 1080p 70FPS.)

Just a word if warning but I have had issues with corrupt files using 64gb cards. Never an issue with 32's. I was devastated when I got back from a holiday to find that 75% of my files were corrupt.

I would advise to test all memory cards a lot before capturing important footage.

I have been looking at the SJ4000 and think I will buy this!

1/3 of the go pro price and seems just as good! I don't know a lot about cameras but the sj4000 seems to do the job I want it to do

Once I have this I will post link for a video, or when I'm back if you want to see it on rides/underwater

I got a GoPro for our holiday and it was excellent. Attached it to the side and underneath of the car to record the drive from the villa to the parks. Did a full days time lapse of our pool etc plus used it on a lot of rides and non stop at the water parks. Wish I had bought the chest mount to record on more rides

Here is a quick 30 second video of GoPro footage I shot:

^^^^^ looks fun... must resist...

I'm surprised they let you film in waterparks tbh.

i know they are forbidden in most pools in the UK for privacy reasons.

I wouldn't want anyone secretly filming my fatty back

Not sure how women feel about them either?
