Agreed to go with my cousin as its on her bucket list 😂😂😂 when we had had a few bottles of wine

Really looking forward to it now

Going with TUI so a bit concerned with all of the flight cancellations !
Weve never been always fancied going

Jet2 for us & as of today newcastle airport seems largely unaffected so fingers crossed!

We were in Alicante and got the tram to Benidorm for the day, do recommend doing it the other way round. The harbour area and old town in Alicante are lovely areas and you can walk up to the castle too.
You should also be able to get a boat from Benidorm to the island of Tabarca, we enjoyed this too.

We got the tram to Alicante for a wander about & a spot of lunch on saturday, simple to do & Alicante is nice small city with some great little tapas places tucked up side streets

Bendidorm , we had never been there , what a suprise much bigger than expected & very busy

but although there is a the brits on the lash streets, they are easy to avoid & i was amazed that easily the majority of visitors were holidaying Spanish families

the old town some cracking bars/tapas places ...

great beaches (went late in the afternoon when it calmed down a bit) & very reasonably priced for food & drink

one gripe too many shoe shops !

Only just spotted this. We spent three months in Javea back in 2019 which is just “up the road” from Benidorm. A lovely place for a visit is Guadalest and Fonts d’algar (? Spelling?). I didn’t visit the waterfalls as I’m not a swimmer but my daughter has been and said it’s lovely there. We really enjoyed our visit to Guadalest. Not overly difficult but you will need to walk uphill around the cobbles to get to the top for stunning views. Calpe is a lovely little place with Roman remains along the promenade. There’s an hotel that has a rooftop bar with amazing views. A nice spot for a cocktail (but not coffee apparently - you can only get that on the ground floor 🤷).

Denia is a much bigger place with a fabulous marina, lots of places to eat , an old town and a castle with cannons on the top of the hill. It’s the only place we have ever seen red squirrels in the wild. We had an amazing paella opposite the marina - it was the only thing that was on offer.

Javea or Xabia has an old town and if you do get there check out La Sucreria de la Placa behind the church. It’s run by a very lovely Irish guy and his wife and the food is beyond good. 😁
