Character dinner dining Plaza…how many characters?

So, we have this booked for our first night thinking it would be nice for the kids. They’ve never watched Winnie the Pooh so not interested in those, they are more into modern characters. Why oh why Disney don’t do a dining with a mix of modern characters is beyond me 🤷🏽
Anyway, Mickey and his friends would be great, so I booked it! Hurrah! Only now some guests are reporting 3 characters at dinner! Just 3!
Please if you have a recent experience could you comment on who you saw?
I personally would have preferred breakfast, but other than Captain Hook, my kids wouldn’t be in the slightest bit interested in the ones I keep hearing about.
Disney have so many amazing characters, why keep bringing out the 90s z list?

There is usually six characters at any character dining in DLP. IF you haven't seen all six then it's probably because they haven't come round to your table yet. It can happen. If you are due to finish your meal then let a cast member know and they will usually bring them over to you. We did that at Inventions where we hadn't yet seen Minnie Mouse and the kids desperately wanted to see her. Same at ADC with one of the princesses.

Remember, you are paying a premium to dine there because of the characters so don't be afraid to ask to make sure you get your money's worth.

6 characters at dining meals.

Breakfast is Hook and Smee, Pinocchio and Gepetto, Tigger and Rabbit/Eeyore. This was an amazing experience and both my kids absolutely loved it. The characters were brilliant.

Evening meal is 4 classic characters, such as Minnie, Donald, Pluto etc plus 2 Winnie the Pooh Characters. Usually Tigger and Eeyore but does vary.

I've been doing loads of reading up about this ahead of my trip too & this is exactly what I've found also. Luckily I was able to change my reservation to a dinner one as my daughter is terrified of Hook!
