Upgrading to Universal Annual Pass

It is possible to upgrade one single universal ticket and to use this to take advantage of the benefits of having an annual pass ticket. Such as free parking and the discounts on food and beverages.

Yes it is.

You'll need a minimum of the Preferred pass for the free parking, and if you have a 3 park tickets, you'll need to upgrade to the 3 park AP, I don't think they'll let you have a 2 park, although I'm sure someone will correct me if that's changed.

IF the blackout dates don't affect us we usually buy one just Preferred and the rest Power or Seasonal.

So a Preferred is currently approx £488 on a 2 park & £587 for a 3 Park & I think Universal passes are around £300, £200/£300 is a lot of parking & discounts! Vast majority of discounts on a Preferred are 10% but that's also taken off before Tax but at the end of the day if you can make it work ...

It is possible to upgrade a 3pk Explorer to a 2pk preferred. I did it back in May at Guest Services in City Walk.
Although he only agreed to do it as I hadn’t activated the ticket at all.
I think different agents give different answers though.

Mx I don't know if you are there now or this is a question for the future? But it's worth keeping an eye on, when we bought ours, 1 Preferred & 1 Power, it actually was cheaper than 2 UK tickets! & UAP's are not activated until you use them that first time.

Very interested in this as thinking of just doing Universal next time - 4 of us, 2ad 2 ch so if I got an annual pass for me could I use it for all 4 of us for discounts and parking? Does the pass include your park admission, you don’t need a separate park admission ticket? If that makes sense?

Your AP is your ticket for the year.
For parking they generally ask for ID to check.
However, once in CityWalk yes, you can use it for discounts for anybody that wants to buy anything. I often handed mine over to family members getting food/merchandise.
