Anna Maria Island

We have booked for May / June 23 to Tampa and have already booked 8 nights at St Pete Beach, Bon Aire Resort, which we have stayed at previously.

We always finish our stay with 3 or 4 nights at the Don Cesar, but to be frank, they are pricing themselves out of my budget. Resort fee $40, parking $25 and room rates about $600 per night. Eye watering!

So I have thought about returning to Anna Maria for the last few nights, any recommendations?
I really would prefer to be beachfront rather than over the road and would prefer to be Holmes Beach rather than Bradenton Beach, but that's not a dealbreaker.

Has anyone got any suggestions? Thanks from a beachlover!

We stayed at Cedar Cove once, it�s right on the beach

Anna Marie Island is nice but very quiet, the Rod and Reel Pier is a bit disappointing, unless you like fishing. All around the Island there are little footpaths from the houses onto the beach.
Definitely go to Coquina beach one of the best around
