Virgin Holidays/Alamo collection time

Hi,

We've booked our car as part of a package with Virgin - for some strange reason they have put the collection time as 4 hours after we land (I hope it doesn't take that long!)

I called Virgin a week ago and was told they would call me back within 48 hours to change the time - they never did.

Has anyone ever had an issue trying to collect the car before the planned collection time?

- I'm trying to work out whether I need to waste my time calling Virgin Holidays again...

Just collect it won�t be a problem.

As Levjohn says just collect the car when you like.

All that matters is the time you drive through the barrier and the time they swipe the bar code when you return. I'd normally say leave the barrier at 16.00 then get it back by 15.59 although I believe that Alamo give you 2 hour's grace when you book through Virgin (normally only 29 minutes).

I also think (thanks to the DIBB

) that booking through VH you can still do the original skip the counter and go straight to the garage and pick your own car - unlike the new "accelerated check-in" system with other brokers.

I've done that a dozen times with Alamo Brits or DFCH but never with VH

We have the same issue with VH. I�m assuming it�s because our flight time is a few hours earlier than originally booked.

If we are ahead of schedule I will go and collect car like normal 😊

If it puts peoples mind at rest we have had quite a lot of time changes over the years and never changed the car pick up times.

Switched from the later VA flight to the earlier one a few weeks before departure - no issues on arrival

Landed nearly 7 hours late due to the ash cloud - no issues
