Wedding planning- Tuscany/Greece
Hi all,
I recently got engaged and we are looking at a wedding in the above destinations (San Torini or Corfu in Greece) Does anyone have any recommendations or advice as starting points? We are looking at around the end of May/beginning of June 2023 (I’m a teacher so it needs to be in the holidays) with around 30 guests whom we have already spoken with. We would love a venue with a beautiful view, whether that be a sea view or vineyards/gardens. We would also like some advice on rough costs if anyone has done something similar - I know there are massive variations but we don’t know where to start! Any advice or experiences shared are much appreciated. |

I can’t be much help really just to say my sister in law got married in Corfu and it was one of the best weddings I’ve been to. They were in gouvia and we went to the town hall in Corfu town for the ceremony and ate at a local restaurant which they didn’t book until they were there. We went for drinks at a most beautiful scenic spot.
My nephew got married in Kos and that was a bit more “wedding planned”. That was a wedding on the beach and then to a restaurant in the hills with the most spectacular views. I do think weddings abroad tend to have a more relaxed feel - probably because you’re on holiday as well. Whatever you choose I’m sure it will be wonderful 😊 |

Just remembered I went to a wedding in 2019 in Barga in Tuscany. The longest walk uphill to a most beautiful church and then a reception in a vineyard with views across Tuscany - absolutely beautiful!
