An Enchanted Cruise - Fort Lauderdale

We did a debarkation tour at Fort Lauderdale as we had a late flight home. It proved to be a really nice way to spend part of the last day. We had a nice chatty guide and did an Everglades airboat ride - we saw more alligators than we ever have in Orlando, then went to Flamingo Botanical Gardens where we had lunch and a couple of hours exploring before heading to the airport.

The debarkation tour is normally one of the few cruise ship tours we book and is a great way to spend a few hours before getting to the airport. Bonus being you do not have to worry about what to do with your luggage.

Yes, we'd had our flights put back to 9pm so were still in the airport for what seemed like forever, but it filled quite a bit of time in.

Looks like a great tour, we would love this. We have never actually seen Gators in Florida. Really enjoyed all your photos, thanks for the heads-up x

Remember the first time we went to Eagle Ridge Mall with ds�s a long time ago and it was the first time I had seen a �concrete� alligator by a pool only it then moved and dh and sons both laughed at me. In my defence I thought they were copying the concrete cow idea from Milton Keynes that was my first sighting of an alligator in Florida although not quite the wild as in the confines of the mall estate.

We enjoyed the day a lot more than we thought, but we'd slipped up - I should have booked at least a night in Miami post cruise. Trying to fill time in till a 9pm flight was a bit of a pain.
