August 2022: Family First

Hi all,

This'll be our first family holiday to Florida (hubby and I went there for our honeymoon in 2007). We're a family of 4 with 2 boys aged 8 and 6. Also travelling with my two brothers and my brother's girlfriend. We are flying in and out of Miami, have booked a hotel in Fort Lauderdale/Miami either side. 7 nights at Caribbean Beach and 7 nights in a villa. We will have a car the entire time due to travelling up from Miami.

Please look at our itinerary so far and any help with the Miami/Fort Lauderdale part would be appreciated!

Thursday 11th Aug: Travel to Heathrow. Premium Inn booked for the night

Friday 12th Aug: Fly to Miami with BA. Land at 6.35pm US time so driving straight to hotel in Sawgrass Mills and going to bed!

Saturday 13th Aug: Driving to Orlando. Thought it would be nice to do an Everglades Airboat Tour in the morning first. Then check into CBR around 4. We have reserved Hollywood Studios incase we feel up to an evening stint or if not, explore the resort.

Sunday 14th Aug: Animal Kingdom morning until early afternoon. Hoping to book Tusker House for a late breakfast/lunch. Then pool time at hotel

Monday 15th Aug: Hollywood Studios until early afternoon. Hope to book Sci-Fi Diner for lunch. Pool time at hotel.

Tuesday 16th Aug: Magic Kingdom until we've had enough. Hope to book Be Our Guest for lunch or early dinner

Wednesday 17th Aug: Epcot. Hope to book Garden Grill for an early lunch. Stay until late afternoon.

Thursday 18th Aug: Hollywood Studios. Hope to book Ogas Cantina. Afternoon and Evening.

Friday 19th Aug: Typhoon Lagoon in morning. MK in afternoon and evening.

Saturday 20th Aug: Hope to book Topollinos for breakfast. Then go to Epcot around lunchtime to enjoy eating around the world. Check into villa.

Sunday 21st Aug: Rest day. May go to Disney Springs

Monday 22nd Aug: Son's birthday and he has chosen Islands of Adventure and dinner at TRex Cafe in the evening.

Tuesday 23rd Aug: Universal Studios

Wednesday 24th Aug: Morning at Volcano Bay. Evening at Epcot

Thursday 25th Aug: Late start and then head to Animal Kingdom. Hope to book dinner at Sanaa.

Friday 26th Aug: Magic Kingdom

Saturday 27th Aug: Check out of villa. Drive to Miami. Possibly go to the beach cruise tour?

Sunday 28th Aug: Flight isn't until 9pm so have the whole day to spent in Miami. Not sure what to do?

We would like to make the most of Disney whilst on site and have tickets for Universal but are flexible.
