Priority seating at Universal studios

We are finding the same , we can't get an evening booking for Toothsome or Hard Rock.
We have seen the same at places we have eaten they are turning walk ups away or telling them 1 hour or more but when you sit down loads of empty tables that just need cleaning but they don't seem to bother.
Also service seems to vary from excellent to dreadful.
We did NBC one night and was excellent went again appalling.
Had text table was ready guided us to a table which looked like it had been in a flood zone.
Wet floor sign next to table, floor swimming in water and table covered in it, they just said oh wait here someone will clean up.
Half dried floor said here you go said table is soaked so they gave it a quick wipe server was like what's your problem.
Then a manager came and said are you ok nope table is soaking asked if we wanted to move.
It got slightly better but waited ages for drinks to find they had nothing we ordered and would we like something different.
On the flip side are at Lombards last night service fantastic and lovely food.
A surprise was Bob Marley's the food was excellent in here although music was too loud for my son.
Rum punch excellent.
Margaretaville was disappointing love this place but just seemed a bit meh nothing special.

I’ve been using the universal app and was wondering how everyone is making their bookings for restaurants - email / phone unless I’m missing the bit where you can book online.

If you go via the universal website there are links to book online. Don’t think they’re on the app.

We found NBC a little inconsistent. Lombards as you say was great so was Mythos and Confisco.
Antijitos our server was lovely and food was ok. Cowfish both good meal and good service as was Toothsome. Bigfire good food and service was ok. Vivos is good but we missed our dinner there as Ds wasn’t well.

Have you tried any of the resorts if you are struggling? Get in the boat to Portofino and try Sals, amazing pizza and salads, good prices. More quick service but everything made to order.

Same for Aventura - urban pantry the wok service is brilliant. Plus bar 17 the rooftop bar at Aventura is great or strongwater tavern for small plates at Sapphire- these 2 don’t take reservations, weekends are crazy but on for tables mid week.
