Question BA 209 to Miami - updated

Hi,

We’re on BA 0209 from Heathrow to Miami on Friday. I have noticed that it has been delayed by 2-3 hrs the last couple of days. Does anyone know why?

If the flight from Heathrow to Miami is delayed by this much on Friday, we will definately miss our connecting flight to Orlando.

Thanks very much!

Probably just a sign of the times at the moment. Fingers crossed the flight actually goes. If you miss your connection you should be put on another flight that evening or up in a hotel to fly the next day.

We do this route 1 week today!

Also been watching the schedule. I think much depends on where the operating aircraft has arrived from and if it's chasing its tail so to speak.

Today's flight is operated by X-LEE which looks to have arrived into LHR on time so all turn around work should be done on time.

That's only one consideration though. I suspect ground staff availability will impact turnaround and ability to board and push back etc.

Seems to be the way atm.

Not the same route , but we fly Edinburgh to Newark next week. Then down to Orlando.

In the past 10 days the Edinburgh to Newark plane has been cancelled 3 times and over an hour late departing 3 times. my nerves are shot too.

We are on BA209 to Miami on Saturday, connecting from Inverness. I have been monitoring the flights and the real positive is that they are at least departing daily but the negative is that they can suffer delays in term of hours.

I am expecting a delay but I am very much of the belief that we will be taking off sometime that day. With all the grief others are suffering I will cope as long as it take off.

Not long now, if you don’t mind would you post a quick update on how you found the connection please?

We’re connecting in from Oslo. Flight leaving there at 7:10am so could be in for an extremely long travel day I fear. Definately feeling the stress at the moment.
