Top tip-download Covid pass early if first time on NHS app
Thought I’d pass on my top tip to prevent anyone else having the stress we had yesterday! Flying on Thursday and need proof of vaccines or do tests etc. DH, DS and I have had Covid passes previously but DD only turned 18 in April. Downloaded the NHS app yesterday afternoon and it required proof of her ID and then came up saying could take 7 days! Stressful few hours ensued trying to find somewhere fairly local to do PCR or antigen test with same day or 24 hour results. Thankfully email came through in the evening that she was good to go, but was stress I could have done without so definitely worth doing a few days in advance as you can request NHS letter if issue with the pass, but that takes at least five days

I second this - we had a similar situation that I posted about
DS Covid pass said it would take 24 hrs - it came through quite quickly In the end but it’s really really not the stress you need and it’s easy to overlook with all the more exciting planning to be done. |
