Lake District hotels

Can anyone recommend a nice hotel anywhere in the Lake District?

Last year we went on dibbers recommendations to The Grosvenor Pulford near to Chester which was fab so we’re looking for something with similar facilities, a pool, near to things to do but this time in the Lakes

We recently stayed at the Salutation in Ambleside and it was great. Lovely Spa area buried underneath and right in the centre. Decent price. I’d get a superior room which are nicer than the standard. Would very much stay again. Breakfast also excellent. Loads of restaurants on the doorstep including a Thai 20 steps away, and one of the best Michelin restaurants in the UK just down the road, together with its cheaper sister.
It’s bang in the centre of Ambleside with parking so you can leave the car, I didn’t use mine for 2 days.
If you like walking, we climbed Red Screes out of Ambleside which was very good if a boggy climb.

The Langdale Resort is beautiful…if the budget allows I’d pick Brimstone which is on the Langdale estate x

Low Wood Bay Resort just outside Ambleside has lovely pool areas, thermal experiences and is in a great location too.

The Samling between Ambleside / Windermere. It’s high up so fabulous views, we had a cottage in the grounds.

The Langdales Brimstone is another.

Depends what you want to pay and need as lots of excellent choices,
The Queens Hotel Troutbeck ( no pool but great pub with excellent walks around )

Lodore Falls Hotel ... Sounds more what you’re looking at

I could go on as we are very regularly at the lakes all year round depending on walks we want to do
