Glasgow Hotel
Any recommnedations for a hotel in the city? Weekend early August.
Flying in, and getting ubers / taxis (unless public transport better?) around so want to be central for evenings (but also need to get to Drumchapel Sport Centre easilty in day). Cheers!

There are quite a few premier inns in the town, there’s a jury’s inn and a raddison blu that are very central as well. There’s a Hilton double tree up past sauchiehall st and a couple of Hilton’s, one in the west end and one in the city centre. There’s also a malmaison.
The best hotel imo is The Dakota, it has an amazing restaurant in it and gets loads of vip’s staying. ( my cousin used to be the night manager). There’s a bus that you can get from the airport to the city that’s quick I think. But I guess an Uber would take you straight to your hotel.

Came back on to say that I think the premier inns and jury’s might be pretty rowdy at the weekends, just in case.

We stay at the Hampton if we can. It includes breakfast which is always a bonus.
It's near all the shops and 5 or 10 mins walk to Queen St station or Buchanan Street bus station. |

Another vote for the Dakota is you want something more upmarket...Hampton inn good also and very central.
