New York masks
Sorry I don’t intend to start another mask debate but does anyone know whether you have to wear them in NYC taxis and at JFK? From what I can see, JFK still requires them but I spoke to a BA rep last week, who assured me they don’t. I can’t tolerate masks so could be a dealbreaker for me. Thanks

They do but it was not at all enforced, we were told to wear them off the plane but no one was enforcing it.
Avoid Broadway though, it was ridiculous how they were enforcing masks, literally going down the aisles during the performance and interrupting the show to tell people to put them on or pull them over their nose. It was SO disruptive. Well our theatre was, maybe others were more sensible. |

Masks required on the subway, buses and ferry. Lots of signage at the airports stating masks required. Lyft app also said required.

Thanks for your replies. Might be worth risking then if they don’t enforce it. Any idea about taxis?
Thanks for the warning about Broadway, we were looking at doing a show. I think they’ve dropped the mask requirement for the moment but I’d be reluctant to book in advance in case they reinstate it if they’re that strict. |

The only time we wore then was on the RIDE. Didn’t wear them on the Subway.

We’re here now and have worn masks at JFK, in taxi to hotel and in the ferries but tbh most people aren’t and it’s not being enforced where we’ve been.
