Nope. Orlando is Disney to use and that's it.

Went to Churchstreet Station on our first visit to Orlando in 1989 and again a couple of years later on our 2nd visit. That is our only experience of Downtown Orlando. I remember we had to stop at a railway crossing as a freight train was coming. Wow, this was a long train. The kids gave up counting the carriages after 50 !

We were given all the literature about Church Street Station, Rosie O'Grady's etc when we first visited in 1990 but we didn't bother going as we were only in the Kissimmee area for a week before heading to Indian Shores.

We did however go on a later trip but it was during the day and we decided that we wouldn't bother again.

We went to Church Street Station back in 2000 because a family friend was raving about it and said it was really good.

So we got a Lynx bus from I-Drive. Goodness knows where it went but we were clearly the only tourists on the bus. We saw the 'other ' side to Orlando so once we arrived at our destination we were feeling pretty uncomfortable.

We had a little look around but didn't quite see is as wonderful as our friend had described.

Not sure if it was CStreet but early 80s we went to a ‘wild west dinner show’

Coyboy hat on way in, then the dreaded announcement ‘free drinks with your meal’

Took me 4 hours to eat the meal

Yee Haw !

I will put my hands up and say that in 11 visits, I have never entered the proper, city area at all. The furthest North that I have been (other than as I bypass it), is probably Universal Studios and Millenium Mall.

A look at Google Maps reveals just how far downtown is from even Universal, yet alone WDW, LBV etc.
I generally stay there nowadays there is a great Marriott residence inn there that always upgrades me to a huge suite and it's walking distance to the sports arena (forget it's name).

The travel into universal isn't that long and the free food and drinks in the evening are a huge benefit of the hotel

First went to Church St in 1989 when it was a big entertainment complex and had a great time. It all closed down a good few years ago but we've been since a few times, there's loads of restaurants and bars with some good live music, we've even stayed at the Crowne Plaza Downtown for a couple of nights. I saw a news report that there trying to convert the old station into bars and restaurants aswell.

We go to Manchester a lot and I've seen plenty of dodgy things there aswell.

We went to watch an Orlando city game in 2017. Can’t say I want to go to downtown Orlando again unless it was for a soccer game, I can’t imagine wanting to wander around!
