Sorry to go off-topic, but what's the reason for not being able to book bulkhead seats? Just curious

It's a bit of a pain for us. The premium cabins are small and there's 6 of us, and we like to sit together if possible due to the kids. Will mean a lot of seat map checking before we book a flight in future, and probably booking further in advance so we can get the seats without paying.

The bulk heads contain the bassinet's for baby's and are held back for those that may have mobility issues, I think they release them at check in?
