Do you think this will include stopping there on a cruise?

If you get off the ship I guess it would as you'd probably have entry and exit stamps in your passport.

My daughter has been, she said Cuba had the nicest sand of anywhere. It's held up as a comparison everywhere we go. 🙄

You very rarely get a stamp on a cruise, but Cuba may do this.

Think it would be easier to apply for a new passport than arrange a visa with the US embassy

I don’t think getting a new passport is going to help. If you’ve been to Cuba in the time period specified then you are not eligible for an esta - makes no difference whether that was on an old passport or a current one.

Surely that would mean you’re not being truthful on your application, which could create a bigger issue further down the line.

Please do not suggest people lie on their Esta application.

“Lying on the ESTA represents separate grounds of inadmissibility to the USA under the material misrepresentation or fraud provision…" if this is found to be the case you would also be denied a visa.

The beaches are stunning and the people are lovely but the poverty is awful.
We were hoping to go back in 2024 but looks like it’s a no go now sadly
We stayed in Cayo Coco, it was beautiful. Food was good, but outside the resort was dire.

So glad its been 4 years since we went. I'd be fuming if i couldn't get a ESTA because of a previous holiday
