To answer another part of your question, you can't actually dive that deep easily as the vests you have to wear have a degree of 'floatiness' so it's tough to swim to the bottom and stay at the bottom.

I would love one of these snorkels but wear glasses so will stick with prescription goggles

It sounds like there's a lot to see underwater, not just a 'swimming pool with goldfish in it' arrangement. I just can't imagine it but would love to do it.

It's definitely nothing like a swimming pool with fish in it! We have been twice and it has been the best apart of the holiday each time. Even my eldest son said the same thing and he is roller coaster mad!

The sharks are in a separate bit to the reef, you can pay extra now to swim with them, he masks work really well, you just breathe normally with them on

The breatheasy masks are amazing we take ours and love them.

The sharks are seperated by plate glass so you get very close, but you feel safe, we love the grand reef and can spend all day there
