Opening times quite poor September 2017?

So myself and my family are away for Flordia the first 2 weeks of Septmeber. When looking at opening times for the theme parks I found these to be quite poor for the amount of money you pay for the tickets and some nights the parks shut at 7 oclock. Is it just me that feels this way?

MK is the only park that closes at 7pm in Sept (usually) and that is only on nights with Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Typically when MK closes for MNSSHP there is another park that is open later.

I guess one of the downfalls of Sept is shorter park hours, but the lower crowds should help offset the reduced park time.

Doesn't bother me to be honest. We seldom stay in the park later and even if the park was open we wouldn't go from 8/9M until midnight anyway. We would spend the same number of hours per park regardless.

We are usually in bed soon after then! This time is going to be different, we will stay up past 8 o'clock.

I think the Halloween party has an effect on closing time for MK, but certainly the other parks are open late. I know Animal Kingdom used to close early but think with the new stuff there, its snow staying open late.

Some times they are open to the wee sma hours!

There have been quite a few complaints about shorter hours this year, Disney definitely seem to be cutting back. But they're also being really slow to update opening hours, so there's a chance they'll extend them - provided you're not looking at MK on party nights, as already mentioned above.

Apart from a night in each park for the fireworks etc, we tend to book ADRs for around 8pm in the resorts so most nights leave the parks in time for that.

The pitfall of going in September is the early closings for the Halloween Party.

Park hours overall have been disappointing this year, even in peak July there were no really late openings and the parks were busy. Just try and make the most of the evenings that they are open later and evening emh if you're on site.

Park hours get shorter year on year.

If you are on site, take advantage of MK EMH, which is usually until 11 or 12pm.

We aren't late park goers though - we hit the parks early, rest late afternoon and head out for dinner and cocktails!

I did notice that MK was closing early this year, but its due to the Halloween party nights. We will just have to plan round it as we won't be staying onsite so we wont have the advantage of extra magic hours. We only stay late at the parks for the shows normally as we tend to enjoy going out for dinner and a couple of drinks by the pool.

We always go that time of year and it never bothers us. As Sha9 said, we would spend the same amount of hours in the park regardless, usually 2-3 hours in the morning and then 4-5 in the evening, so would fit that around what the hours are. Unless you go for park opening and stay until closing, it shouldn't really bother you too much?

I've just had a look at the park hours though, and apart from MNSSHP days, every park is open till at least 9 or 10pm with entertainment at that time as well, and EMH makes a couple open even later.

Compare it to parks over here that are seasonal and tend to operate 10am - 5pm
