Worth a throwaway booking and how would it work?
Hi All, below is all provisional plans.
I go to Florida on 6th June, arriving mid-afternoon. First proper day is 7th June. Planning on going to MK on 7th and Epcot on 8th. I was going to do a throwaway booking on 10th June (other days are too expensive). Going to Animal Kingdom on 10th, HS on 11th, AK again on 15th and Epcot again on 16th. My questions are - 1. If I book to stay on 10th June does that open up 60 days FP for 10th onwards? 2. What would happen with FP's for 7th and 8th June? 3. What are the chances of getting good FP's at 60days? I know for people staying longer it opens up before 60 days for them. 4. Does it make a big difference to your holiday? Thanks! |

60 days before your checkin date you could book that day and check out day, then you would have a rolling 60 days beyond then. I think the days before your check in day would also be book able on check in day but I'm not certain on that.
For me, at 60 days I couldn't get FOP, although I was able to get it a week or so later when park hours changed. I could only get 7 Dwarfs and Frozen for afternoon or evening times, and Toy Story from about lunch. I could get everything else for any time. I did it because there were 8 of us, and it was far cheaper than paying for 2 days of parking for 2 cars and 8 magic bands. Booking FPs earlier was just an extra bonus really |

1. No it opens check-in & check out days at 60, you are then a rolling 60 after that
2. You will be able to book all of the days preceding your 60 day 3.Likelihood is that you may still miss out but a better chance than those stuck to 30 days. Onsite doesn't open before 60 days but allows to you book up to 14 days of your stay at 60 days, hence the reason I mentioned likelihood as we all come up against those that are 14 days in front of us. 4. Depends if things like FOP is a must do, or you must do Frozen etc but for us it doesn't ruin our holiday SD

Disney campsite seems to be pretty consistent at $83 + taxes over the dates you mention...
