Teppan Edo and Yak & Yeti- not in DDP?

Hi all

Just made my ADRs- this is my first time on site. My Teppan Edo and Yak and Yeti confirmation emails both state 'this restaurant does not participate in a Disney Dining plan'

Do you think this is because they haven't yet been added onto the 2019 DDP, or are they just not included next year?! Should I make additional ADRs for those nights just in case I wait and they are not added to the plan?

Dont worry as this happens every year. It will be because of the yearly contract renewals, but I've never known them to not stay part of the DDP. I've had 4 holidays where I've had to book adrs before the list for that year had been finalised (Jan, Feb and April holidays), and it was fine every time. The only time I've known a restaurant to come off the list is if it's closed.

You can make back up adrs if you wish, but I really don't think it's necessary. Also, you can't have 2 adrs at the same time - they have to be at least 1 hour apart I believe.

Thank you so much! Your first hand experience makes me confident enough to leave it as is.

It's weird because if I do a filtered dining search for '2019 DDP' they show up on the list, its just the email confirmation says not included

I had the same for Rainforest Cafe. I’m just going to leave ADR as it is and check back nearer the time

That’s just inspired me to check my reservation for Teppan Edo and confusingly it says in bold “Disney Dining Plans Accepted” and underneath in lighter writing “This restaurant does not accept Disney Dining Plan”.
Reading all my ADRs this seems to be a catch all section to be completed but this could easily cause confusion?

It definitley confused me! I could understand it with the Landrys restaurants but I thought Teppan Edo was Disney owned?! Maybe someone just messes up the listing for it

Don't worry - they will all be eligible.

Imagine trying to operate a table service restaurant within the parks without accepting the DDP. It would be fiscal suicide.

Squishy- if you like a drink with your tepanyaki, I can highly recommend the sparkling Sake at Teppan Edo, it’s one of the main reasons we’re going back.
Think much nicer than Prosecco

Ooh while we eat loads of Japanese food I've never actually tried Sake. I guess I'm scared to as I'm not much of a drinker- I only like Prosecco or wine if its sweet! The only champagne I like is Moet if thats any kind of a gauge lol. Do you think I'd like the sparkling Sake?
