Check in time?
We normally go indirect but with connection in US. But in 2019 we are going GLA-LGW-MCO. So we are effectively arriving for an internal flight rather than an international flight.
How long before the first flight should we check in our baggage. i.e we will have done the online check in. Do we still go to the counter and check in traditional style or do we just do bag drop. Our flight is early (6.45am), so if we have to be there and sorted 3hrs in advance I'm going to be really unpopular After all of my years of planning Florida trips can't believe I'm still asking questions. |

Hi Shelly - most airlines close check in desks 60 mins afore push back, so anytime up to then. I'm smiling as I know what you mean about being there too early, we fly from Man to Atl to RSW on Saturday, airport hotel overnight with bag drop/pick up boarding cards circa 70 mins afore push back - least airport time the better for us

We’ve flown that route several time (either GLA or EDI) and usually get to the airport around 2 hours before our flight. If you still feel that’s too early them aim for 90 minutes. I wouldn’t advise any less than that as BA bag drop can be busy at that time of the morning and possible security too.
