Virgin Upper Class BFS-MCO - cash or miles ?
I have found VS UC flights ex Belfast next July or August - all flights are available that would suit so dates don't matter.
Cash costs for 3 pax is £1120 each - total £3360 I have 231,000 miles so could get 2 seats for £350 each - total £1800 using cash for 3rd ticket. So my questions are : Is this a good fare ? Would this be a good use of FC miles ? |

As no-one has replied, I would say £1120 for UC return is a really good price. using the points is not great. Generally people aim to get >1p value per mile, so the would be £2310 value minimum for your points. But if you have no other use for them guess it reduces the price, but I would save them for future use.

The cash price is fantastic. Mine were £1200 and that is am amazing price for UC and you're seem even cheaper. If you want to go UC, I cant see them coming down much below this.
If you are using your points for full tickets (not miles plus money), then this is the best way to use points and you are only paying taxes. If there is availability, this is what I would be doing. |

£1120 is a canny fare, I too would buy cash and collect the miles towards another flight at some point.

Thanks all. I booked 3 x cash seats. We will miss out on the LGW Clubhouse but direct flights will make up for that. PE flights are £950 so £170 to upgrade to UC seems a good deal.

Hi gmul, excellent fares, nicely done! As we're winter travellers and the Belfast route is seasonal it's likely no good for us in the future.
Bagged £850pp UC Dub to MCO [via Man] in 2015, mainly due to €1.42 to £ - wouldn't mind those fares/FX again. Dropped Man to Dub leg on return, good flights, hand luggage only, off the aircraft and train home
