yeah we really shouldn't give them any toys or even talk to them at that age as they wont remember... There are practicalities to be considered, but consider them and plan - job done, you are in the right place for that. Pm

Our experience with a 7 month old was really good. We purposely booked seats in the “bubble” so when he slept we made a nice comfy bed on the shelf under the window which was wide enough for a baby to lie on. When awake he would sit on our knee and we also had the space near the top of the stairs for him to play on the floor. It was nice and relaxed up there and we had a great flight (the fact he was breastfed helped a lot to be honest). He will be 20 months old next time and is definitely getting a seat. He wouldn’t last 20 mins on our knee now without screaming the plane down as feels trapped. He’s just too busy!

Check the price of an infant seat we were charged something silly like £25 to the canaries for our DD if it’s a small amo7nt of money pay it and put the car seat in the set. If it’s a lap book seats so that you at leas5 one of your party sitt8ng I front of the rest or pay for blukheads otherwise when tha5 seat gets reclined there will be no room for the little one to move.
My DD is 8 and I would never fly Economy with a little one on my lap I would rather not go but that is me and I am not always the most patient person |
