Cotton tee shirts, or thinner man made fabric for August?
Im just trying to put some things on my boys' Christmas lists.
What's the best fabric to wear in August please? I was thinking natural fibres, so cotton tee shirts etc. But someone has recommended that the 'climacool' type sports tops/ football shirts might be cooler. Any thoughts please? TIA x |

They've got some effective cool and sweat wicking tops in Columbia outlets. A cooling towel is a big help too

Climacool tech clothing is always good. There are plenty of options in places like TKMaxx and Sports Direct etc. Cotton is good to wear in the morning or at night out there but the humidity makes it difficult for the sweat to escape from the fibres and keep the skin comfortable. No one would bat an eye at anyone wearing the clever tech clothing to keep cool.

Definitely the Nike/Adidas tops. Cotton takes forever to dry out after a wet ride or a downpour. Similar for shorts, we wear nylon type walking/cargo shorts from mountain warehouse.

Just to add to all the above, primark do sell those types of tops and the sondico range at sports direct is made of the same material as the more expensive Nike /Adidas /under armour etc.
Those tops do make you cooler but also seem to start smelling quicker (depending on your boys ages) than cotton t shirts. |

Over the last couple of trips I have been wearing uniqlo dry ex polo shirts. They are just plain polos with no logo but are absolutly brilliant ,everything just wickes away
I buy them online here and aiways pick a coupe up in Disney Springs |

Great tips, thank you! Yes, my boys are 12 and nearly 14, so on the stinky side. I will bear that in mind We will be away for a month, so will have to use the washing machine anyway!

People who have a bad body odour should be showering on a regular basis and wearing a deodorant no matter what age. Good idea for Christmas presents.
