Parking Charges at Disney Hotel without car for entire duration?

Hi all,

If I got a rental car for part of my stay at a Disney Hotel resort, will I only be charged for parking for that duration or for the entire stay?

If it’s just for the duration, how do Disney know I haven’t got a car for the remainder?

It's per night, for however many nights you have the car. I suspect they record you lifting the barrier with your magicband but it's only a guess. I also think the guard at the hut records it if you arrive by car as you check in.

we stayed at coronado and they did not scan anything.This was in june/july when they were just finishing the tower.We Just said we were staying there and they let us in.Might of changed now though but how did they know we were staying there?

We stayed 5 nights at AKL and my DH stayed at the villa. He came every day to AKL to either pick us up or drop us off. We were asked at check in if we had a car, and seeing as it wasn't there overnight I said no. My DH used his magic band at the gate, as he was on the booking, but I'm not sure if that logs the car going in, or going out. Also not sure if the guard logs you going in and out.
