Chrysler Pacifica or Chevy Tahoe
Hi,
We are going to Orlando next June/July and I currently have a Chrysler Pacifica booked for £600 for 2 weeks with Costco. I was having a look around and saw I can get the Chevy Tahoe for around £150 less on BA.com with Avis, both with a free additional driver. My question is will the Tahoe be big enough for 4 adults and 2 small children with car seats and a suitcase each? Usually we hire a minivan but for a £150 saving I’d be delighted if the Tahoe was suitable. Cheers. |

Tahoe has a folding 3rd row so you'll have loads of room! We've gone for the tahoe over the minivan next year..avis prices were very good. Though looking this evening the prices have doubled!

The Tahoe boot is small, 3 of seven seats are on the 3rd row. You might get lucky and get an 8 seat version with 2nd row bench but often it is just 2 captain chairs.
In short for six luggage will be limited. We had a suburban 8 seat in August. 4a 1c we still had to fold the 3rd row down, probably would have even if I hadn't brought golf clubs. Alex Autos does some good load capacity reviews on youtube. Both vehicles have been covered. |

I would have thought the vehicle booked has the usual ‘or similar’ next to it in which case you might get something completely different. In any case if you’re not filling every possible seat in the car you should have plenty of room for luggage.

We had a Tahoe this year and a Minivan the year before for 5 of us. The Minivan is definitely roomier and comfier - if i was you i would stick with the minivan.

Excited about Disney

Several years ago we went as 5 adults and a child. The minivan we had; a Town and Country which is the predecessor to the Pacifica was absolutely ideal.
Tahoe is a nice vehicle however with the third row of seats up the trunk space is extremely small so you may struggle with cases. For ease comfort and space I’d stick with the Pacifica.
