GF and Contemporary Security Checks for MK

Silly question but we have an adr at the Contemporary then intend to walk across to MK. It’s on Christmas Day and I’m worried about how long it’ll take us to re-enter the park. Did I read somewhere that security/bag checks are done at the resort rather than having to join the queue at MK please.

We will be staying at the GF so does that also apply there? I’ve just realised that my lovely plans for sweeping in and out for dining/relaxing never actually allowed for queuing!

Cant answer your particular question but can guarantee Christmas Day will likely be pretty manic anyway, so you need to factor that as a starting point b4 even thinking about security queue's

If you are walking over, no you won’t get security checked in the resort, but there is a specific check point for people walking over from the Contemporary and it is not going to be as busy as the main ones.

If you got the monorail over then the security check is before you board, i.e. in resort, but I am having memory fail as to whether you get checked again before you go into the park.

Thank you - we will probably take the monorail to MK, spend some time there, walk over to the CR for lunch then back into MK. Having read a trip report here about the crowds on Christmas Day I suddenly twigged that this won't be as easy as it sounds!

Mmm no doesn’t sound that easy. I think I would stay in the park once I am in and either eat there or book a later resort ADR at a time you assume you will be done.

There is no further security to go anywhere after boarding the monorail (including Epcot)

Just be mindful that if the park reaches capacity you wont get back in
