Villa - Best community areas for Universal

Can anyone recommend good gated communities if your spending most your time at Universal / Volcano Bay.

Just trying to narrow down a villa search for my 2021 holiday

We stayed in Davenport last and only time we have had a Villa in Orlando and I felt it was a little too far out.

The area around Universal is not licensed for short term rentals so there will not be any communities in and around that area with villas legally available. Please be careful if you decide to look at Airbnb as Orlando have also clamped down on rentals.

That is not entirely the case. There are still some areas that were historically able to rent villas and they have been able to retain their license. There is at least one owner on the DIBB with a villa closer to Universal than the ones around Disney. I expect they will be along soon to give you details of the resorts you can look at.

There are a few villas allowed to rent closer to Universal as they had a license before the re-zoning took place, but as said be careful check the tax records to make sure that it’s legit. Other than that the areas along towards the eastern end of 192 provide decent access.

There is a Dibb owner with a property near to Universal in Orange County.

Have a look on the villa search section. There is a villa owner who will be delighted to hear from you I am sure. I think the community is Hunters Creek ?

Thank you to all of you that have mentioned our villa at Hunters Creek which is in Orange County and is fully licensed and legal for short term rental.

It depends on which part of Kissimmee and which part of Davenport you are looking at! I would suggest looking carefully at the villa map. In general anything close to I4 is the most convenient for Universal. However if proximity to Universal was my main consideration I would look at apartment style resorts instead of villas with private pools.
