Travel Insurance

Hi
First time to Disney World in February Was wondering what is reasonable to pay for travel insurance? Got lots of quotes that range from £40 to £200! There a 2 adults and a child no pre-existing medical issues. Going for 2 weeks. Thank you x

We too have taken LVs premier policy with the added baggage cover (just for a single trip - not annual policy) £130 for 2 adults, 1 child (with a minor existing medical condition for DH)
There is no doubt that you could get a much cheaper quote than this - I am just a worrier and wanted something with a good amount cover - for everything, not just medical (and 5 star defaqto rated).

We've always paid around the £60 mark for a family of 5 with pre-existing conditions covered (asthma, T1 diabetes, couple other minor things). Last time it was with Explorer Insurance.

Bear in mind where you see the cancellation cover, and it totals, say, £5000 - this is per person, and not total (as we all know £5000 doesn't go far as a total for Florida family holidays!)

Travel insurance as should any insurance, car house contents, be driven by levels of cover rather than cost.

We paid about £130 but looked at all the cover incase anything went wrong.

Just remember that with such an expensive holiday taker out the insurance at the start of your purchases.

We often buy European insurance sometime in the planning (Bad I know).

You are only covered (normally) for purchases after you take out the insurance.

I'd also advise you check if they will cover major costs directly if you need to use the insurance. My SIL found out the hardway that insurance through Debenhams expect you to pay for everything yourselves (including hospital visits) and them claim back when you get home! Definately added to the stress levels when someone needs urgent care.
