Just booked Britannia woo hoo
So there I was, sat in Subway at Meadowhall today with the kids minding my own, when I spotted The Cruise Shop opposite with all the consultants looking a bit bored so I thought I'd go across and just pick their brains about the best way to cruise for me, mum and my two kids. We've been before but I wanted to see what other options were out there. After a lovely chat with Davena she confirmed that P&O seemed to fit the bill for us as we suspected and without me realising I was asking her to price up a 7 night cruise in May half term on Britannia.
I got home, spoke to Mum and before we knew it we were on the phone to Davena asking her to book it for us! Interestingly enough, we asked her to price up the following: 4 sharing a balcony cabin 2 x 2 inside cabins 1 x inside cabin and 1 x balcony cabin opposite each other. And it was the latter option that proved the best value for money with 4 sharing being the most expensive. |

Saw the Britania sailing into Southampton this morning, ( we were on the IOW) we then sailed straight past her on the ferry looks like a fab ship !
She was next to the independence of the sea and she looked very similair! We also saw the Queen Mary yesterday. Great cruise spotting on the IOW! |

She is one of the ships we are looking at for our next cruise.
When we returned from our recent cruise, she followed us into Southampton, she looks lovely. Have a great cruise, where are you going on her?

The cruise shop in Meadowhall should have a warning side above the door as we were up there last year when visiting Sheffield for our son's wedding. We went in about a cruise we had seen advertised in the window and walked out having booked a transatlantic cruise to Miami. Did have a wonderful cruise.
We travelled to the Fjords on the Britannia earlier this year - she is a lovely ship with loads to do - I am sure you will all have a lovely time. |

Thanks all. I really can't wait. Mum was booked on her maiden voyage but sadly had to cancel when dad passed away. She's really looking forward to sailing on her with us, I suppose as a bit of a tribute to the holiday they were both so looking forward to but never got to have.
Am I right in thinking that thereven is a proper dance floor as mum and DD love ballroom dancing |
