I would never do AI in Greece. Food and drink is cheap and plentiful and you’d be really missing out (imho)
I like Corfu and Rhodes (pefkos)

As mentioned we have also stayed at the Matina and agree it’s a great place, plenty eateries at reasonable prices. Hersonissos in Crete would also fit the bill.

What are prices like in the supermarkets?

We wouldn’t want to have to do much cooking
We didn't do any cooking but made baguettes for lunch and had cereal or pastries for breakfast. I seem to remember the supermarket been a little pricier than we would pay at home but not silly money...think M&S over Asda 😄

We have Rhodes booked in September . We went to Elounda in Crete a couple of years ago, last year Kos. Absolutely loved our Greece holidays. It’s beautiful

We love Greece and cannot wait to go back. We usually go B&B or self catering though as a lot of the hotels are quite small and the food at the local tavernas is so cheap and good! Kefalonia is our favourite, as if you hire a car you can travel the whole island as it’s relatively small. It’s very scenic and may be a bit quieter than you’re looking for, but would definitely recommend if you’re looking for somewhere not as touristy

It is such a family friendly place (with little play areas in a lot of the restaurants and bars for younger kids) and we had the best time.
By far our best stand out Greek family holiday at the Matina. Most guests are rpt customers and dibbers 🤣
I wouldn't go to Greece all inclusive either. Theres so much choice in places to eat.
