What countries are the US letting in?

I’m now starting to look at plan B in case our August trip doesn’t go ahead this year.

I know there are loop holes with getting into America, not easy, but doable.

The idea is to travel to a country that are allowed into the US for 14 days and then onto Orlando.
Problem is, I can’t find the list.
I can find the list of places that aren’t allowed in, but not ones that are. Are all that aren’t on the not allowed in list, allowed in? (I know that sounds silly but you never know)

It doesn’t seem to be an easy search tbh and with all the requirements, it seems to be impossible. I guess that’s why a lot of people aren’t doing it that way.

I know someone who travelled to Croatia and stayed there for 14 nights and then went to Vegas. That was last year though and I’m unsure whether anything has changed.

Can someone please point me in the right direction? A link maybe with the correct information?
Or if you know someone who has done this recently?
The country also has to allow the UK to travel there as well 😬

Sorry that this is a long winded post…

Will that not make a 4 week quarantine on your return? Are you really that desperate to go and stand in a few queues for a few minutes of rides that will still be there when travel is allowed again? If you're going for work reasons it's a bit different, but can you not wait a few weeks/months longer?

Why would it be a 4 week quarantine?
It’s not about being desperate. It’s about not losing loads of money invested in the holiday as it is and being fed up of not doing what we want.
The first 2 weeks wouldn’t be a holiday - My partner would be working.
People go to the US for 3-4 weeks at a time. I don’t see what your problem is?
I didn’t ask for opinions on whether I should do it or not either.

it may not be weeks or months - if the airlines collapse it may be impossible for some for many years

i have also thought about looking into this option because i want to go on holiday and stand in a queue to enjoy my holiday.

i spent my last annual leave doing DIY so hardly a holiday

Mexico, Bahamas, Turkey, Serbia. Mexico probably the easiest as you're a stone's throw away, lots of flight options into the US and it's not a bad place to spend a fortnight!

The quarantines don't stack when you go to multiple countries.

OP, here is the current CDC list. Anything not on it should be valid for travel should you choose to do so, providing those countries don't also have a do not travel mandate against the UK.

cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...countries.html

I would agree that Mexico would probably be the easiest route through.

I’m in the USA now after spending 15 days in Mexico but was to visit family in USA not holiday.

Mexico was the cheapest and easiest way for me. You need to have spent 14 clear days outside UK so not counting arrival or leaving day. No test needed to enter Mexico and lateral flow test to enter USA including having ESTA and proof of return flight out of USA.

No quarantine needed in USA as vaccinated and at the moment 10 days home quarantine on return to UK.

For me it was a no brainer, and if you are able to do the 15 days then it is possible. Lots of people on my flight doing it but mostly for family or work.
