I’m glad you enjoyed yourself.
We have a 3 night break booked at Sherwood Forest Centre Parc for Oct ‘22. It’s a significant birthday for my wife next year and she wants to take the family as a treat, our first time there, it’s not cheap is it.

Looks lovely. Is it dog friendly? And if so are dogs allowed in coffee shops etc?

In our opinion no, not really that dog friendly, they say they are... but hmmmmm ... more "dog tolerant" . There are a few lodges available, they book up quickly... but the dogs are not allowed indoors (at Longleat) except for the Forresters Inn. You can sit outside in some places, but obviously weather dependent.

There is a LOT of wildlife around the lodges, our dog would bark and bark if left, and they don't have a chance to run off lead, the designated areas are small. The number of times you see one family member stood waiting outside the plaza with the dog waiting for the family is huge.

Our dog has more fun at kennels than locked in a lodge with curtains pulled, and walked on a lead.

I do love Center Parcs but we generally find the restaurants very poor and almost always take our own food with us.

I’m surprised by this as they are mostly franchised ? Had a lovely meal in cafe rouge Saturday and Bella Italia Friday.

We love CP, if we can't have Disney it's the next best thing for us (and next most expensive!)

We’re off to Longleat in September for the first time! Went to sherwood in July and just love the atmosphere and surroundings. Definitely less of a stress than an abroad holiday for us at the moment, so we keep going back!

This is why I’ve never been. I’m sure I’d enjoy it, but with that sort of trip, i’d really prefer to bring my dog with us.
But you look into it further and it’s no dogs here, no dogs there etc etc

I love Center Parcs too… we went in May, and it felt both “safe” and normal. We booked our swimming sessions for 6.30/7pm. As the pool shut at 9pm it got quieter and quieter during our slot which was amazing. (Fortunately we have a teen, not a “little one” so no problem it being later)
