surely knowing how a film ends like this means you can just enjoy the ride and see how things pan out?

No 🙈 if we plan to watch a horror/thriller type movie I google the ending and always see if the main character survives 🙈 I get too upset otherwise. My husband thinks I am bonkers 😜

but surely the whole point of some films (this included) is for the main character to die? the film is about the characters journey up until that point...
