Just use the out going test for the return. People have been doing this for 1 and 2 day trips for sometime. They don't have to be different ones.

Oh no our flight leaves Orlando at 6pm on Monday but we will land at 7am Tuesday.

Any advice on where we can get tested?

Can anyone tell me what would happen if you test positive on the pre departure test back to UK? I am guessing they don’t have quarantine hotels there do they? Do you stay in your hotel?

Feels like holidays are becoming more and more difficult. Saw someone post yesterday that their flight to Orlando was dead - virtually everyone had a row to themselves. This is only going to thin out the crowds even more...

Travel insurance has never been more important.
The chance of picking up Omicron over the next month in the US is minuscule, but your point is a good one for later in Jan onwards if it’s really taking off.

Lateral flows will be acceptable according to the BBC. At least they are usually cheaper abroad than the UK. This is just going back to a few months ago before they allowed vaccinated passengers to not require testing, so its not as if this situation is anything new.

Would have to fork out for a hotel for an extra 10 days. Claim back on insurance. Also rebook flights home - some airlines covering this scenario with no change fee.

I paid Ł250 today (7 of us) on day 2 tests
Ł280 on tests before leaving the UK 😭
