Another local youth gone too soon

I’m struggling to come to terms with the number of local teenagers who have tragically died recently.

This poor lad was in the year below my son in both High School and College .

RIP Peter

In the last 4 funerals I went to only my grandad who was 93 I should have been to.
The other 3 were 42,35 and 26 years old.
There was a funeral in my area last week for a 8 year old who went to my daughters school.

In the last year or so there have now been 5 deaths in the local (Bury ) teenage community that were friends / friends of friends of our son / daughter .
Two suicides , one shooting , one cardiac arrest and now this with Peter.

Plus a further local teenage drowning , and a teenage girl from my wife’s school who died following an injection.

All that on the back of a girl from my sons school who died in the Manchester bomb that still is fresh in people’s minds

I only recall one similar tragedy in all my years at school / college.

Have we just been incredibly unlucky ?

Blimey .
Another sad day yesterday .
A pupil at my wife’s school ( who actually left in the summer ) died following a seizure .
He had many health issues but was one of my DWs favourites .
Rest in peace Matthew .

Well that makes me feel terrible moaning about what’s probably a cold. That poor boy and his family 😢 I’m not sure how people deal with such devastation.
