Verifly and BA

Just had an email fromBA about the verifly app, which I have downloaded, but a bit confused.

Flying LHR-MIA and then MIA-MCO . BA have said that if you have an interconnecting flight just put flight details on, so do I do the same again or just do the add trip on the app.

Anyone doing the same flight and if so how are you reading it.

You don't need to complete Verifly for any domestic flights, so you only need to complete for the LHR-MIA. Used Verifly on our trip to the UK in July, flying MCO-MIA-LHR-GLA. We only completed for MIA-LHR and LHR-MIA.

BA seem to push for it to be completed but on my flights in October they didn’t look at it either direction and I still needed to show vaccination certificate etc

Verifly is an app you can use to upload your details ie. Test results flight details and any required forms needed for the country you are visiting.
My first time of using it so I have hard copies of everything just in case it fails.

It's an app that allows you to load in your vaccination proof and test results which then verify you as fit to fly, so the check-in staff only have to check that instead of all the forms.

Currently only used by a few oneworld airlines, BA and AA being the main ones.

Same here on our flight to Canada last month, we didn’t bother doing it on the return as didn’t see any benefit.

It's strange isn't it, we found the opposite using it for our BA flights to and from LA this summer, and our AA flights from Barbados to Miami. We sailed through everywhere, showing our Verifly app, check in staff all saying how easy it made it for them. We're definitely using it in December, I hope we get the same response.

Hiya loldis - I'd like to see more airlines utilise Verifly once the skies begin to fill again - could've been well handy for our upcoming VS flight.

All the best

When we flew from Barbados to Charlotte on our way to Orlando, the American Airlines staff at the queue to check-in were making sure everyone had done Verifly and if they hadn’t they ensured the paper forms were filled in there and then - you couldn’t proceed to the check in desk without one or the other.

On the way home when we were at the check-in desk at Orlando on the way to Charlotte then Heathrow, I gave the AA guy our passport with our UK Passenger Locator forms inside and had my Verifly app at the ready. He asked me why I was giving him the paperwork for a trip to Charlotte and I had to point out that I was going onward to Heathrow. He just said “oh I see”, barely glanced at it and wasn’t interested in my Verifly.

When earlier in the year I flew from JFK to LHR, the Virgin staff were all over the paperwork wanting to see my Passenger Locator Form and covid test certificate that you also needed back then. It is a shame that more airlines like Virgin aren’t on Verifly.
