DFCH good price?

Hi

I can get a price from the above company for 2 weeks in May for a standard SUV for £628. Thats for 4 drivers and full to empty. Ive only ever had car hire with a package so really not got a clue if its a good price.

Thanks

May prices have shot up in the last few months sadly.

However do you need 4 drivers? If you drop to 1 or even 2 the price drops nicely

For example Virgin do a 2 driver hire with Alamo for £509. Thats full to full so you need to refuel it maybe $40 if you pay for them to do it.

Netflights 1 driver £527. Only £616 for a Full Size eg Tahoe etc.

Hi

Not sure how to adjust it to 2 drivers ? Will have another look. Can you book car hire only through virgin ? Will have a look at that as well. Thanks

I use VA a lot for car hire.

This is the link you need.

travelplus.virginatlantic.co...20car%20 hire

You can use them for car hire, hotels etc. No need to even have a flight.

99% of the companies we all use that are booked via a UK portal have the same Insurances and T & C's.
That will include Andy, Virgin, Netflights, Costco, uscarhire, usrentacar, Auto Europe, Avis via BA, Hertz UK, Alamo UK, Brits, and the list goes on and on.

Towing is always included for a breakdown but all of them will offer the enhanced roadside assistance package that some take and some don't.

Some will offer enhanced terms as well within the price.

For example Auto Europe gives the following as standard.

Extended Cover including wheels, glass, underside and roof of vehicle

Hardly anybody else does.

If your price from Andy was from Avis and you only wanted yourself & your partner to drive then Avis allow your partner to drive the car for free without having to declare them.

That might help reduce your price

I would go full to empty to be honest there is a garage near the airport if you do google maps it's very easy it's literally 5 mins away and you don't leave cash in your tank.

Can't comment on the price. We went a week in may last year as well.

Thinking about doing May 2020 15-23 so will be looking soon.

I'm trying to book May 16-30, don't book with Alamo, prices are £1200 for economy. An SUV is £600ish but everything else is extortionate. I'm not sure which size to go for as I have a Clio and I'm under five foot so I don't want anything too big but need to make sure cases fit. There's only 1 in the back though so can fit bags in there.
