Techie people, sports fans, Italians help please

Hi!
Well I’m absolutely gutted to realise, that our scheduled flight on Saturday next week is due to depart at 9.40am, right in the middle of our rugby World Cup semi final.
We’re absolutely gutted.
Hoping to be able to watch a bit from Liverpool airport, but realistically is there anything we can do?
I’m assuming that if I put a load of data on my phone, I should be able to watch a bit live, say on the runway/gate. Can you watch live on itv hub?
Anything we can do about the second half when we get there?
We can take an iPad but it doesn’t have data. We’ll also have iPhones but no laptop etc.
Guessing I won’t be able to watch itv hub in Italy? Is there an Italian equivalent that may be showing the matches.
First world problems I do know. But I would love to actually watch it

We're in Italy now and watched this morning's game in our apartment. Italian commentary obviously

Any idea what channel? Just wondering if I can try to download an app for my iPad/phone which would mean we could watch the second half on arrival.
We won’t be in Italy for any of the match live, first half technically we’ll be in British soil, second half in the air

You can get a vpn like tunnel bear, or nord von and set it so it thinks you are in the UK and then watch on ITV player catchup when you arrive.

What airline are you flying with? Is there wifi on board to purchase?

Just an easyJet cheapie unfortunately.
Can you put the VPN’s on iPads?
