Afternoon all,

I am planning on renewing our ESTAs this month. I last done them in 2018, has anything changed since then.

Thanks very much 😊

Quite a bit different, you get a code to verify and complete, we got ours emailed to us, that's for each person so if you have six people then six codes. You can't continue until you've put the code in, so you can't do them all then wait for the codes together. It also isn't instant, it can take up to 72 hours. It has a question about social media, completely ignore it, don't even click on it, someone said that they couldn't get off it without putting something there. You need to put your full name as it appears on your passport.

I suggest

Read the dibb guidebook

Visit the DHS web page and look at the questions and requirements

Read the many ESTA threads on here either by searching forums or looking at Trip Planning Florida.

You need to fully understand whats required BEFORE you fill out the application. Forewarned is forearmed.

Thank you.., i just feel your stress, i had bucket loads...

Yes plenty of space, but dont forget you are replicating the passport... so if there is space on the PP then by definition there is space on the ESTA.

Any other questions, i will keep an eye on the thread for a couple of hrs, then again tomorrow.

Not sure what room it has but one person going with us has two middle names and it had room for those.

Just follow the instructions and put what's shown in your passport. There's enough room on the form to fill in what's shown as your name(s) in your passport. Don't enter any middle names that are not shown in your passport.

As already mentioned the verification code is the main thing that's changed. After filling in the first page you now have to enter an email address and then get sent a four letter verification code to enter. You can use the same email address for every ESTA you fill in.

Also, the social media bit might have been new since you last filled in the ESTA. This section is optional - you can leave it blank.
