Full size suv with alamo

Hi
I have just changed my booking with alamo through Andy to a full size SUV, does anyone know what kind of car were likely to be allocated.
Thanks

Are you into MCO, MIA or TPA?

Assume you know that you can do on-line check in with Alamo and skip the counter and choose your own car? It won't be allocated and the turnover is constant so it will depend on what's in the line at that particular time.

We never rent an SUV but scores of Dibbers do and I'm sure they'll be along soon to tell you what they've had. Depends where you're flying into though. If it's MCO you can also choose between garage A or B

Hi we’re flying into MCO. That’s good to know we can go to garage A or B. Guess it will be pot luck what we get then lol

I've posted this opinion (and it can only be my opinion ) on here a few times over the years.

MCO is a 24/7 operation handling over 800 flights a day so, in theory, cars are being returned to both garages all day between 12.01am and 11.59pm and I doubt that anyone has reliable empirical evidence of which side has the best choice at any given time.

We always go to B for two reasons. Firstly it's the nearest to APM 4 gates 70-99 where all UK direct flights land (we never do the VS baggage transfer which sends cases over to A side ). Secondly the exit from garage B is very close to the 417 south where our car goes on to auto-pilot

What's the VS baggage transfer? We've previously used the second luggage belt after immigration and literally waited over an hour to get the bags back. Is this what you refer to?

Yes I was referring to the same courtesy baggage transfer system that you see after the baggage claim hall. We always keep our cases on the monorail as I can't see any advantage in trekking over to level one side A to collect them given the high risk (as experienced by dozens of Dibbers) of delay. I don't know where BA cases end up.

We arrive with strollers, car seats and all sorts and can't manage up the escalator so have had no choice in recent years. We usually fly with BA but can't recall what side the bags went to. We're Virgin this time around...im determined to avoid that second belt but not sure it will be possible.

Staying on topic though..we have a full size SUV booked too. I'd love anything but an Armada. Expedition or tahoe would do nicely.

A couple of years ago they were very strict about use of the lift up to the monorail by disabled travellers only. Now that they have modified the route to the new lift and escalator I believe that anyone can use the lift. Why not split your party and associated bits between the escalator and lift.
