I need flight price advice!
I need help from people who are experienced flight price watchers.
I’ve made a provisional booking with WDW for Pop Century 15th-29th September. We live 15 miles from Manchester airport and usually fly direct with Virgin. But the Virgin prices from Man are a scary £730 at the moment.🙀 Are they likely to come down a bit? |

Aer Lingus on those dates is sub £500 from Manchester.
Or LGW direct to MCO is £500 ish for either Norweigan or Virgin on those dates. With TC going bust Virgin pretty much have a monopoly on direct flights from Manchester - they will use that to keep prices high. So you choice is likely to remain the same. Pay a premium for those direct Manchester flights, or go indirect or travel to LGW. Depends on how you value that conveniance vs the money saved. Though I would also add that i think those LGW flights will have been cheaper at some point and might be again. |

Hi Sue... we haven't booked via VA for our PE seats for 3 years. Check LastMinute and Expedia prices (we booked with Expedia for the trip we're currently on, circa £80pp cheaper - don't be concerned if you see it's via KLM and/or Delta and VA... per our trip Expedia priced as: LHR to Atl via KLM on a VA aircraft, Atl to Fort Myers via Delta, on Delta aircraft, and May return MCO to Man on VA 747), both Expedia and Last Minute offer cash back via Quidco/TCB. Also check out Skyscanners.net but do ask on here re some of the relatively unknown TA's offering really cheap fares.
Good hunting, and have a smashing holiday Sue

You need to go either indirect or from Gatwick for a decent price at the moment.

I have been looking at Manchester flights for April this year. Sadly, Virgin are going up in price if anything!
I eventually booked with Tui when their prices went down a couple of weeks ago. By way of comparison, flights from Manchester with Tui are £239 each and the same day Virgin are currently £628. As you are going after the schools are back, I would imagine there are some deals to be had with Tui nearer the time if you are prepared to hold out. It is slightly more complicated travelling to Disney from Sanford Airport... but well worth the saving in my opinion. Edited at 09:34 AM. |
