Early December advice...
We’re going 6th December for 8nts and was wondering if there will be Christmas parade and shows in magic kingdom or is this what the MVMCP is for?
I would prefer to go into magic kingdom for the day but wanting a very Christmas experience so am I best to go for the MVMCP instead?

It will be just the normal parade during the day. The decorations will all be up.
If you are only planning on doing one day at Disney then you'll be better with the MVMCP value wise I think as you can go in at 4pm. Candlelight processional at Epcot is lovely part of a normal day ticket. You can meet Santa at Disney Springs and tour the hotels to see their trees.
