2021 and 50th anniversary celebrations

Hello!
We have a trip planned for August 2021 and I was wondering when would the 50th Anniversary celebrations start as we don't know anything yet. What do you guys think? Will they start before October or after?

I will guess sometime in August 2021

The Disneyland 50th started around 2 months before the official date so they might do something similar.

Disney haven't said when the celebrations will start so we don't really know. Some of the previous celebrations haven't started until the time of the actual anniversary and then lasted for many months afterwards. We'll have to wait and see whether it'll be the same for the 50th or not.

From a purely profit-making, merchandise-selling point of view it makes some sense to start some initial 50th celebrations in Spring/Summer 2021. Although I think they'll properly start in October 2021.

I might be going against trend and upset some people but I hope it doesn't fully start until the October, some merchandise might be nice but I hope crowds aren't too big in the summer.
