Going home - our amazing hot December vacation - Pre travel day

Welcome to my second trip report, my name is Maria and myself and wonderful DH Dan visited Orlando again this Past December. We have been to Orlando before and absolutely love it. Anyway down to business.

We only live 30 miles away from the airport but I got a cracking deal at the Radisson Blu at Manchester Airport that was such good value that it ended up being cheaper than parking there.

We finished packing and doing some last bits of housework before catching a cab and heading to the hotel around 4pm.

The check in was really quick and easy and as we were walking towards our room I noticed that our room would be facing the car park and not the runway and mentioned this to Dan (I must point out I wasn't bothered, it was just an observation) a manager overheard me and offered us a free upgrade a few floors up so we jumped at it - I must say staying at this hotel was great and super convenient.

We spent a while going over our plans, enjoying watching the planes land and take off (by the way you couldn't hear anthing) and decided to slob out and watch tv for a while, we were originally going to head to the restaurant but decided to order room service instead and it was lovely - we ordered a burger, dessert and beer meal which was £22 each.

We stayed up until around 10:30pm and tried to get a good nights sleep before our long travel day ahead zzzzzzz

Room service was a bit of a bargain!

I love Radisson's, they always feel so luxurious.

Massive bargain, we only paid £52 as we had a great deal with Hotels.com - so lovely that we have booked it again for our trip to NYC in September.

Sounds like a nice and relaxing pre travel day with the added bonus of a free upgrade. I love it when that happens!

Bargain room service! Raddison blu is lovely isn't it, we stayed before our honeymoon to Mexico but it was just the 2 of us, family suites are extortionate so we slum it in the premier inn with the kids 😂 We only live 25 mins from Manchester airport too.
