GCSE parents?

I've come home to a house full of teens. All seem upbeat so I've escaped upstairs, hope my 2 manage to remember they still have DT tomorrow! It's nice to hear the laughter and relief.

DD said this one went much better than last weeks so all is good! She has a nice long break until after half term.

My ds says English was fine but he run out of time
RE this afternoon there was a fire alarm. Honestly you could not write it! Dance class next to his room last week and now fire alarm! Poor kids!

DS is in school for revision every day except Monday next week. I thought all schools would be doing it?

My DS's school ran revision clubs during Easter, but I don't know if they are doing any kind of revision next week, they haven't told us anything yet.

He’s not having the best of luck is he. Poor lad ☹️
We are off on a seaside break next week and as far as I know ds just misses one Maths revision session. His school have been running revision sessions alongside the exams as they do study leave. Freddie has been to them all so far. He has more after half term and only misses one or two as they clash with other subjects.

DD said english went very well and it had some good questions on it, she is half way through them now as well. I think DD has a couple if revision classes next week but they are doing master classes on the exam subjects each day instead of lessons between exams.

Verdict is in and he said they were really nice questions. There were certain things he didn’t want to come up and, thankfully, they didn’t. 👍🏻 So that’s it for him now until the Tuesday after half term. Hope everyone got on well today 🤞🏻

Mine was dreading English lit as it’s really not his fave subject and he sees it pointless for his future, anyway he said it was a much better paper than he was expecting so fingers crossed he passes - either English is borderline for him

My ds school is running revision in science and English language Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday

My daughter's school is in all next week but we are going away to the caravan. She needs a break from school so revision books packed ready to go with us but she needs some fun time (her science teacher has fully recommended it). She said English was good and even better was the fact she never has to see a Shakespeare play or poetry again and can now enjoy just watching a Christmas carol for fun haha she has a break until the tues back after half term.
