Mobile Mosquito’s !

Just wondering how bad mosquitos are in July / August ? Do we need to take spray and which one do people recommend for children ? Thanks 😀

Never had any issues at that time of year. But it would depend on where you are going to visit.

WDW puts a lot of research and effort into controlling the mosquito population on its property in Florida. Google 'WDW mosquito control' - some of the articles are quite interesting actually.

You'd expect to get eaten alive in a swampy area like Central Florida... but its never a problem at WDW. Now lovebugs on the other hand...

I'm one of those very unlucky people who get eaten alive by mozzies if I don't use lemon shower gel and lemon cologne (both have citrone in them).
I only use a deet based spray on my legs in the evening if I'm wearing shorts or a skirt.

Another fan of Avon Skin So Soft - it has a lovely fresh scent too. I also use lemon shower gel.

We went last July/Aug and didn't suffer any bites but did wear "Cutter" all day whilst in Orlando. 2nd week we went to beach and got bitten by sand mites but not mosquito.

WDW hotel guests were being offered in resort bug deterrent available at the front desks , pool side and common areas. This would help combat any major issues. If you know where to look you’ll see bar houses they love to eat mosquitos😉

Just back from smokey mountain road trip and a local told me best thing to stop mosquito bites is rub the tumble dryer sheets on your legs and arms and then keep the sheet in your pocket.
