Flying with American Airlines

Has anyone flown with AA. What is the food like and the IFE..Do they offer free drinks..usually fly with Virgin but this time booked through British Airways so this is all new to us. Any other information will be helpfull. Thanks.

Assuming travel in economy, AA provides free beer, wine and soft drinks on long haul flights, you have to pay for spirits.

In my experience AA edge ahead of Virgin.

The food is about the same, the service is better and the ife is a bit better if you get a decent plane. We did LHR to MIA last year and the touch screens were a bit poor (BA coming back were worse)

AA far better than virgin food is better IFE like all depends on the aircraft more room and more comfortable seat

I used to fly AA three or four times a year to various destinations and am really pleased my MIA LHR in September is with them .
Decent planes, good IFE and I much prefer the very experienced cabin staff they have transatlantic.

We have a great flight with them. The cabin crew were fantastic with the kids. Game them a staff flying wing badge and took them to the cockpit once we had landed 😊
